No eye make up, eyelash extensions, strip lashes, or wetting the area for one week.  You can resume your make up routine after one week.

Do not dye, perm, or use eyelash curlers for two weeks.

Any tools touching the treated area must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected first.

You can ice for ten minutes every hours, use a clean disposable bag to prevent leaching of pigment.

Do not wear contact lenses during the procedure or for twenty-four hours after.

Have sunglasses available. Your eyes may be light sensitive or even dilated immediately after.  The sunglasses are also handy for hiding puffy eyes.

For the first two days, use a straw when drinking liquids.

Do not rub, pick, or scratch the treated area.  Let it heal naturally, otherwise there may be scaring or pigment loss.

During the peeling process, it may look like there is not much color.  The color is more apparent on the second week.

Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least four weeks.

No soap, cleanser, or shampoo on the treated area for seven days.  Soap and cleansers are designed to remove any foreign substances.

No make up, skincare products, or wetting the area for two weeks.  You can resume your make up routine after two weeks.

Tattoo removal pre and post treatment Instructions

Pre Treatment

Don't take blood thinners (aspirin, warfarin, Plavix, Vitamin E, etc.) for a few days before your appointment, but don't stop taking prescribed drugs until you've spoken with your doctor.

No Fish for the past two weeks.

Noo alcohol or caffeine 12 hours before to the scheduled appointment.

2 weeks prior to the event, avoid tanning/excessive sun exposure (and 4 weeks after).

2 weeks prior to the appointment, no botox/dysport (or 2 weeks after).

Exfoliation, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and other skin treatments are not recommended. 2 weeks before or 4 weeks after the appointment.

2 weeks previous to the procedure, do not use Retin-a, Renova, or Glycolic acids.

One week before to the appointment, there was no brow tinting.

The use of Latisse (or other growth serums/oils) on the brows must be stopped for at least three weeks. If you've previously used Latisse on your brows, be mindful that the saline removal may cause greater redness and swelling.

Post Treatment

A bandage will be applied to the area immediately after the therapy. When you remove it, the region will be extremely red, and there may be blood on the surface. This is due to the coagulation process and is not a cause for concern. Following the treatment, use alcohol pads to gently wipe the borders of the area clean of blood. Cover the area no more; it must be exposed to the air and begin to build a scab.

After the procedure, leave the bandage on for 30-45 minutes (do not remove it early or leave it on for longer).

As much as possible, keep the area dry. If they become wet, dry them right away (don't rub them with a towel) and NEVER soak them in water or in the shower. You must keep them dry until the scabs have totally shed on their own.

No lotions, moisturizers, or ointments until the Healing Cream is applied, which you will receive free during the consultation.

After all scabs have vanished, apply sunscreen. You'll also start using a small bit of Healing Cream on them at this time, but just until the scabs are completely gone. Use this a few times a day until your next session or until you're out of it.

After the treatment, there will be no HOT showers or saunas. For the next 14 days, do not shower directly on the areas.

You should avoid touching them if at all possible, but if you must, make sure your hands are properly clean with antibacterial soap first.

After your appointment, do not exercise for 10-14 days. Sweat contains salt, which can impede recovery.

Picking or scratching the scabbed skin will only make it worse. Unlike microblading, removing the scab does not result in the removal of further pigment from the skin. If scabs are forced to fall off, the process will be ruined. Even minor picking or "helping" a scab fall off can have a significant impact on how effectively you heal and how red your skin remains underneath.

No sun/tanning beds for at least 3 weeks.

You may use a cleanser on the area again once the scabs have shed.

NO anti-aging creams of any sort on area for 3 weeks.

You will see the results after the scabs come off.

Things To Know Before Your Appointment

PAIN TOLERANCE

Reduce caffeine and alcohol intake the night before, as well as, the day of your procedure.

Some discomfort and increased pain sensitivity will occur during your menstrual cycle.

If you would like to take pain medication, we recommend Tylenol as it will not thin your blood. If you are prescribed other medication’s that cause blood thinning such as aspirin or ibuprofen, please let us know before you make your appointment.

Health and Beauty

We want you to be as comfortable as possible. Please come to the appointment how you normally wear your makeup a daily basis. This will help you and your artist create a brow that suits your vision of beauty.

It is not necessary to have your brows shaped waxed or threaded prior to your appointment.

It will be nice to see how and where your hairs actually grow. If you insist, 48 hours prior and at least 10 days after will be recommended.

If you normally tint your eyebrows with hydrogen peroxide it is recommended that you do this at least 10 days prior.

If you continue to do so after you've had this procedure it will cause premature fading.

If your skin is constantly inflamed or acne-prone, please contact us for a consultation to determine if this procedure is right for you.

Your skin is the canvas from which pigment is deposited. If your skin is compromised, the pigment will not retain well and is more prone to an infection after each application.

If you are on any type of acne medication (accutane) you are not a good candidate for this procedure. To be considered you have to be off the medication for at least a year.

If you come to your appointment with any type of break out, rash, inflammation, abrasion, blemish, bruise that is in the area that is to be worked on. We cannot proceed with the procedure.

Please let us know if you have any concerns with your skin prior to your appointment.

Per our studio policy, failure to inform us prior to your appointment will result in the loss of your deposit. A new deposit will be required to rebook your appointment.

Refrain from taking any supplements such as fish oil (omegas) or multivitamins a WEEK prior to your appointment.

It will thin your blood and increase inflammation or swelling during procedure.

Refrain from any use of Retin A, Obagi, lightening, resurfacing type products for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

It will thin your skin and not receive the pigment well. Antioxidants such as vitamin c are okay.

If you are sunburnt your skin will not take the pigment well.

It is highly recommended that you refrain from excessive sun tanning or tanning beds 30 days prior and 30 days after.

If you come to your appointment sunburnt where your skin is red from inflammation, you will lose your deposit and have to reschedule when your skin is fully healed.

This is for your benefit, the results will not be desirable and will cause more time and money to be spent.

If you work out, we recommend refraining from working out 24 hours prior your appointment.

It is also highly recommended to refrain from working out at least 7 days AFTER your appointment. Increased blood flow will heal your brows prematurely and result in poor pigment retention.

Eyelid Surgery or any type of facelift surgery should be done at least 1 year before your appointment.

It can slightly change the shape of your brows once all of the swelling subsides. Your shape can be adjusted but please consider that it will require more time and money spent.

Everyone heals differently, which means it may not be perfect the first session. Please be patient as it is normal to need two sessions to achieve the desired results.

Your brows should start peeling after the 3rd day and finish around the 7th day. Sometimes it will take a bit longer to fully heal due to dry skin or sensitive skin, but not sooner than the 3rd day. If there is any redness or swelling it will dissipate within 24 hours.

For the Next 7 days:

Please wait the total duration of this time as the results of the healing process will adapt accordingly to the conditions of your lifestyle.

Keep the area clean by washing with freshly washed hands and mild soap. Do not use a washcloth or sponge to remove soap. Simply wash with water. Do not use acne cleansers, astringents or anti-aging products.

Use a QTIP to apply a thin layer of ointment throughout the span of the day. Too little and your brows may feel tight, itchy, and/or uncomfortable. Too much and your brows won't be able to breathe and heal naturally. It is better to start little and apply more accordingly.

Ointment should also be applied before and after taking a shower and/or washing your face. Use a QTIP and refrain from touching your brows with your hands.

Do not scrub, rub or pick at the epithelial crust that forms. Allow it to flake off naturally up to the 7 days of healing. After the 7 days, you may use ointment (on a Q-tip) and rub off in a circular motion.

Avoid recreational water activities such as saunas, hot steam showers, swimming.

Please no gardening and/or activities with farm animals.

Please avoid exercise. The salt produced by sweating will prematurely fade your eyebrows.

Allergic Reaction or Infection: It is rare, but there is a chance of allergic reaction or Infection. If there are any type of irritation, rash, or bumps stop using the ointment. You might be allergic or using too much of the ointment. At anytime you are uncomfortable please visit your physician for further information.

Once Healed

Maintenance appointment is suggested every 12- 18 months on average

Hot steam showers feel great but unfortunately can cause dehydrated skin and inflammation/cellular breakdown.

An active lifestyle and oily skin are more prone to premature fading and brows will require more maintenance.
